Denali

Denali is the highest peak in North America, located in the Alaska Range, within Denali National Park and Preserve. Standing at an impressive height of 20,310 feet (6,190 meters) above sea level, Denali holds a significant place in both geography and culture. Its name, Denali, means "the high one" in the Koyukon Athabascan language, which is spoken by the indigenous people of the area. The mountain was originally named Mount McKinley in 1896 by a gold prospector, after then-presidential candidate William McKinley. However, in 2015, the mountain was officially renamed back to its original Native American name, Denali, by the U.S. government.

Denali is known for its extreme weather conditions, with temperatures reaching as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius) and winds exceeding 150 miles per hour (240 kilometers per hour).
