Giza

Giza is a name commonly associated with an iconic archaeological site located on the western bank of the Nile River, approximately 10 kilometers southwest of Cairo, Egypt. This site is home to the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The name "Giza" is believed to have originated from Gizah or Gizeh, derived from the ancient Egyptian word "Giza" meaning "edge" or "border." It perfectly describes the location of the Giza Plateau, which marks the end of the fertile Nile Valley and the beginning of the vast desert.
