Zenobia was married to King Odaenathus, who was assassinated in 267 AD, making her the regent for her son, King Vaballathus. She took control of the Palmyrene Empire and expanded its territory to include parts of the Roman Empire. Zenobia led a rebellion against the Roman Empire and declared herself the Queen of the East, ruling over a vast kingdom that extended from Egypt to Turkey.
